. This canister fits all current backpacking stoves using the 7/16 UNEF Lindal B188 EN417 standard (which is the most common standard). For those of you who know what I'm talking about, when you try to use your trusted, convenient isobutane backpacking stove in the winter you run into a problem. It doesn't work. The best (and only the best) isopropane camping mix might work ok down to freezing temps but when you wake up in the morning when it usually is the coldest outside and you WANT that cup of tea or coffee, you want your stove to work without a hitch. Propane vaporizes at minus 44 degrees (-44F). That's WAY colder than you should probably be camping out in. My point is propane is king for cold weather. The problem is if you are backpacking you want your kit as light as possible and you don't want to be carrying around unnecessary weight. This canister of propane is designed to be safe to use and is as light as your normal isobutane canisters so you don't have to carry around a huge steel Coleman bottle of propane with you for your 2 day winter wonderland adventure. The canister for sale here weighs 11.7 oz. and feels full (the stated net weight of propane is 8oz.).
