A Nikon film body classic. My choice for Nikon's best manual focus film body - even over the juggernaut F3. The FA was one of the first cameras with multi-segment metering. I don't shoot as much so I'm thinning out the gear that I own. If you are into manual cameras, you'll know it's rare to find one in this condition. No brassing, no gouges. Comes with a 35-105mm 3.5-4.5 F zoom lens, and MD 15 Motor Drive. The contacts for the motor drive are clean - no battery corrosion. Also, it has a super rare vertical release button which was hard to track down. The motor drive runs on AA batteries, which you can find anywhere in the world. Except maybe the Amazon jungle; so bring a spare set when you go. Also comes with the MF 16 data back. The honeycomb metal focal plane shutter inside is pristine as is the film plate. Why the heck would you want a film camera when even our phones take great pictures you may ask. Shooting with film makes you slow down and really be aware and be in control of the different things that go into capturing a great photograph. But only thirty-six shots per roll?!? Can you imagine that? W the F?!? I can tell you this, shooting film makes you hyper-attuned to THE moment. Perhaps that's why when you take a beginning photography class in college, even today, they often make you start with a film camera. Re-introduce yourself to the special magic of film with this beauty. This camera will change you.
