Position Summary:
This position is currently a support-based technician role and does not include a dedicated route. As a Field Assistant Tech, you will work alongside and support our lead Fertilizer Technicians by assisting with their routes, providing coverage for scheduled time-off, and helping ensure services stay on schedule. This position may offer future opportunities for advancement into a commission-based full Fertilizer Technician role, as performance and company needs allow.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead technicians with fertilization and pest control services
Support overflow route work during high-volume periods
Provide coverage for scheduled routes during technician PTO or illness
Safely operate light-duty application equipment
Maintain accurate service notes and records
Communicate professionally with customers and team members
Uphold company standards for safety, quality, and customer service
Qualifications:
Valid Florida driver’s license and insurable under company policy (REQUIRED)
Experience in residential and commercial pest control and fertilization is preferred, but not required
Strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and walk properties of various sizes throughout the day
Comfortable using communication tools (phones, texting, email)
Professional, courteous demeanor with customers and coworkers
Willingness to work in a support role assisting other technicians as needed.
