Marius Ernest Sabino (1878-1961), founder of Sabino Glass, was born in Sicily and moved as a young child to France. He studied at the L’Ecole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs and the Beau Arts of Paris where he trained as a sculptor. In 1925, he developed an opalescent blue tone glass formula that created an impression of iridescent clouds.
