The main body is in a dark green color with washes of yellow and white decorating the lilies. The pattern was created by Walter Moorcroft and dates late circa 1940's.
Marked on the bottom - MOORCROFT MADE IN ENGLAND.
Marked inside the lid with a paper label - By appointment, W. Moorcroft, Potters to The Late Queen Mary.
W. Moorcroft Limited is a British art pottery manufacturer specializing in richly decorated earthenware, based at Burslem in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The company was founded in 1913 by William Moorcroft.
Condition: Vintage, previously owned. There is no damage to note. There are only very minor signs of age/use/patina. Crazing on the base bottom and inside the lid. NO chips or cracks.
