This is a rare and hard to find George III mahogany tea, coffee, dessert, or center table. Possible circa 19th century.
The square, rounded edge top has 2 drop leafs attached by 3 hinges on each side and swivels (lazy susan style). The edge of the top design has been carved with parallel groves called reed moulding. Approximate measurements: 34"x34"x1/2", drop leafs down 18" wide.
The double pedestal, tripod legs are carved and turned with brass casters at the ends. Approximate measurements: 32 1/4" long, 16 1/2" wide and 18" tall.
Condition: Vintage, previously owned. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Various signs of age include some nicks, scratches, dust and one of the tripod legs has some repairs with visual cracks. Please see pics for details.
