This is a heavy, tall articulated magnifier. The lens is glass and the base and arms are steel. It is lit by a fluorescent circular bulb. I used it for models and other detailed work. I'm pretty firm on the price as the only reason I am selling is because, even though I rarely use it now, it is convenient for other close in work.
