Lathe Carriage Stop - Multi Position - $75 (Pinellas Park)

I have for sale a twist dial lathe stop that fits most 12" or larger lathes and I have also used it on my buddy's 13" Grisly metal lathe. This unit has a slightly larger dial than most (about 2-1/2" dia) and it adjust length wise from 1/8" to roughly 3", on 4 different settable stops. The bottom notched step plate that holds the unit tight against the bed by tightening the bolt on the stop to the bed at any position you choose. You may need to make a new bottom plate (very minor to do, flat plate with proper size hole), solely depending upon how your lathe is manufactured as all are different due to the way in which the cross slide clears the transverse rack gear under the lip of the bed. (I had to make a different plate to fit my buddy's Grisly for yet another type of stop) These adjustable stops cost 100's of dollars new at Grisly and other supply houses, so mine is absolutely priced right for what you will be receiving, go look at current prices on EBAY starting at $149 plus ship cost for the exact same item. I use my exiting carriage stop about 85% of the time for most of the lathe operations I do, as it acts as both a safety stop for going too far into the piece, as well as a great micro control when getting down to the nitty gritty for final dimensional needs and taking off the last thousand's or two. $75 OBO.

NOTE: THIS ITEM WORKS BEST ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE USING A TURRET TYPE TAILSTOCK LATHE, AS IT CONTROLS THE DEPTH OF MOVEMENT INTO THE WORK PIECE FOR EACH DIFFERENT WORK UNIT OF THE TURRET'S TOOLING SELECTION.

NOTE: NO TRADES, liquidating everything in the shop, all sale final, all sales cash only.
