• Under HUD rules, a live-in aide takes the place of a household member.
• Duties include personal care, help with meals, errands, and daily support.
• You would potentially share a room with me and full housing rights as an approved aide.
I did not have any aid at the time of application, so I was put on a long waiting list.
About me: I am quiet and try to stay clean; I effort to shower daily (would need help with soap/shampoo). On the toilet I can wipe myself; I just need someone to hold me from falling forward. I am gay, but I’m not flamboyant, and I act pretty normal- I don’t want to be a girl or use womanly products. I don’t force myself on other people. I request you not to introduce me to drugs, drinking excessively, crime, and destructive behavior. I am a Hindu..born in America.

A. I am Asian Indian. Our people take pride on surviving well with major economic constraints; I was well-educated, but fate handed me multiple sclerosis. Instead of being a doctor, I became a patient. The result is that I am using my upbringing to enhance my survival. I am looking for support in the world in which my blood relatives remind me of how unneeded I am.
