We have a beautiful 80% Silver and Gold Filigree Scale model of the Santa Maria by the United states Historical Society. Limited Edition No. 21/500. The ship is beautiful with intricately designed sails. It has meticulous detail, creating an accurate representation of the Santa Maria in 1492. Made by the Alioto Artisans of Genoa, World renowned for their mastery of fine filigree. The Alioto group was commissioned by the United States Historical Society in conjunction with the Naval Museum of Genoa, to recreate the Santa Maria in 80% Silver and Gold vermeil. Painstakingly detailed, and each one took hundreds of hours to hand craft. The Plaque on the display stand reads "1492 + Santa Maria + 1992" "Naval Museum of Genoa" "United States Historical Society". Commemorating the 500 year anniversary of Christopher Columbus' discovery of North America in 1492.
