It goes without saying the scale needs a new marble base as the origianl base is cracked. Also needs a thorough cleaning and removal of rust. And a tray.
Everything but the base is cast iron or steel or glass or rubber.
The ingenious design of this scale allows it to weigh up to 6 pounds in 1/4 ounce increments. Turning the adjustor at the one end slides the counter weight from one side to the other.
If you look closely in 2 of the images I have tilted the scale right-end up and the level bubble moves to the right end of the sight, and in the other image I have tilted the scale left-end up and the level bubble moves to the left end of the sight.
