Independent Tree Service Inc is a family-owned, established, and respected business proudly serving the greater Tampa Bay area for over 45 years. With five full-time ISA certified arborists on staff, we run 4-5 crews daily. We are currently hiring skilled, professional, and enthusiastic people to help us grow.
Our fleet comprises of six all-terrain man lifts, bucket truck & chipper, multiple Ford trucks, three grapple trucks, an International rollback truck, and six articulating wheel loaders. Our specialized equipment allows us to be highly efficient with respect to labor and delivers a superior finished product while preserving the clients property and turf.
Job Description - Tree Trimmer/Climber
PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE ONLY HIRING EXPERIENCED TREE CLIMBERS AT THIS TIME. Thank you.
Will be responsible for pruning and removing trees throughout commercial and residential properties while adhering to proper arboricultural practices. Must be able to work safely and efficiently while using methods such as climbing, aerial lift work, and working from roofs and elevated platforms.
Required Experience and Skills
- Knowledge of proper pruning techniques and removal practices
- Experience with advanced climbing, rigging, and roping techniques
- Experience with chainsaws, wood chippers, and various arboriculture equipment
- Willingness to learn and grow in your trade
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Knowledge and experience with aerial lifts, grapple loaders, and other machinery common to the business
- CDL drivers with a Class B license or higher are a big plus!
- ISA certified arborists are a big plus!
