Are you a numbers person? Do you enjoy compiling and analyzing data sets? Do unsolved puzzles and riddles keep you up at night? Have you ever thought of applying these skills and interests in the workplace, but haven't found the right opportunity? You might be the perfect fit for a Traffic Data Project Analyst position.
Quality Counts, LLC is currently seeking applicants who demonstrate the skills necessary to test traffic data collected by our video traffic counter team, and analyze and compile it for delivery to our clients. This means more than just going through the motions. You would be expected to learn how to use our custom software and a special keypad to calculate the accuracy of a set of traffic counts collected in a project. Think of yourself as an investigator: when there's a problem with the data, it's up to you to find out where, why, and how it got there. You will work closely with seasoned project managers, and gain unique experience that is not often present in an entry-level position.
Here's the catch - you have to take a pre-test just like our Video Traffic Counters in order to move on to the Quality Control department, where our Traffic Data Project Analysts work. The Video Traffic Counter test involves carefully viewing footage of an intersection and using a special device to classify and count vehicles by turn movement.
The ideal candidate would have strong hand-eye coordination, superior computer and software skills, an analytical mind, and an affinity for detail. We want team members with integrity in their work who aren't afraid to ask questions and go deeper. Applicants should feel comfortable having their work scrutinized and be open to receiving constructive criticism. We also love when our employees present new, more efficient ways to improve operations.
