If you're looking for a guitar with a slightly smaller body, this is an excellent choice. It is a copy of an iconic pre-war Gibson LG2 model. I researched it thoroughly before buying it in August of '18. It has hardly been played, and is like new. These guitars have gotten great reviews online. Google it and check the Acoustic Guitar Forum results for many comments. Included is a good quality arch-topped hardshell case by Guardian. I am selling because shoulder surgery limits my ability to play.
It has a spruce top with mahogany back, sides and neck and has quality tuning machines. I upgraded the plastic bridge pins to ebony and installed a strap button.
This is a OO size body with the slightly shorter 24.7' scale length. Smaller bodied guitars are more popular than ever as many players recognize the ease of play they offer. One of the pictures shows the size compared to a "full size" guitar. (There are some smaller bodied guitars that have much shorter scale lengths, but be sure to try before you buy one of these. Many experienced players find these to be limited due to the very short string length. If you're not familiar with this, research it, or call me).
I bought this from Elderly Instruments, known for setting up the guitars they sell for quality control and ease of play. "Big Box" (Guitar Center, etc.) and internet retailers do not do this; they sell guitars as they come from the overseas manufacturers even though many have issues that need to be corrected. This is particularly important to beginning players. I've owned many guitars over the years, please feel free to call if you have questions.
