Vintage promotional ceramic coin bank modeled after the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower in Brooklyn, NY.
The bank was a promotional item, often given to customers, and sometimes included a pen holder.
It is often referred to as the "Tower of Strength" bank, a phrase that appears on its base along with the "Central Office Tower" text visible in the image.
The actual Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower, built in the Art Deco style between 1927 and 1929, was the tallest building in Brooklyn for many decades.
The building features one of the largest four-sided clock faces in the world.
