Hudson Beach is a very small relaxing beach, 5 minutes away from the house, where you can lay in the sun or play in the sand. There's also swings there for the kids to enjoy. There's a nice beachy restaurant there where you can eat out on the deck, over the water, and watch the amazing sunsets and boats going by.
There are several stores close by (a new Wal Mart Supercenter 1 mile from the house) along with all the major restaurants, a shopping mall and 2 movie theaters.
We're only a few minutes away from the Bonati Institute for out patient stays and the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point hospital.
If you're interested in gambling, the Sun Cruz Casino Boat is about 10 minutes from the house....and it's all free. They even provide you with a free breakfast, lunch and drink. We have a very reliable mother of 2 (ages 14 & 11) that is available for babysitting if you want to escape for a day or evening.
The famous Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks are close by...there you can walk the streets of this quaint Greek town and enjoy their delicious food, also the arts and crafts in the numerous little shops. Within driving distance is Busch Gardens, Adventure Island (a water theme park) both in nearby Tampa. Salvatore Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. The white sands on Clearwater Beach, and world famous Caledesi and Honeymoon Islands. All this plus Orlando is only 90 minutes away where you'll find Disney World and other Disney theme parks, Sea World, Universal Studios, Cypress Gardens,... The list just goes on and on...
The 2 bedroom, 2 bath house (one is a brand new handicapped accessible one) is on a beautiful canal with a waterfront view...you can be out into the Gulf Of Mexico in less than 5 min. It's a non-smoking home but on the screened patio, private dock or deck area that would be fine.The house is air conditioned and there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and dining area. There's cable TV, a full kitchen with microwave & refrigerator. All cooking utensils are provided as well as all linens. There is a washer & dryer, gas grill (BBQ) if you want to just stay there and veg, a screened patio area along with a private floating Boat Dock and a separate deck to enjoy your coffee on in the mornings. If you're a golfer, there are a dozen or more courses in the area including one only a few miles up the road from the house. If you don't have a boat there is a Marina that offers boat rentals or you can even set up an all day fishing trip. As you can see, it's ready to walk into... but if anything is missing that you need, we're only a phone call away. We want your stay to be a relaxed and enjoyable one. Beautiful, fully furnished end unit overlooking the golf course with a deck and stairs to the course, just a few steps from the private pool. Fairway Villas is one section of an absolutely beautiful development located in the vicinity of Clearwater, Florida (partially located in Pinellas Park and Largo, FL). As you can see from the pictures, this unit has a large garage large enough for a car as well as a golf cart, eat in kitchen nook, full kitchen open to a dining area. The unit is very convenient to the beach areas of Pinellas County to include Clearwater Beach, Redington Beach, Indian Rocks, Bradington Beach, St Pete Beach, Madiera Beach (and others). There is a heated pool on the premises with lounge chairs all around along with two Tiki Huts.
Bath/Shower, just outside the pool area. BBQ grills with table/chairs just outside of pool area. Shuffle Board is located nearby the BBQ grills.
Each morning lounge chairs are set up on the beach with blue covers that can be put up, down or in-between.
These lounge chairs come from an outside source and are considered a 'concession' $25.00 per day. For guests who do not wish to pay that fee each day, I have had brand new beach lounge chairs installed inside the unit, along with a large beach umbrella.
Volley Ball net set up every morning, also shuffleboard and game room available.
There are many wonderful restaurants all along Gulf Boulevard, from very very casual to upscale.
Some of our favorites are Kenny's Korner, south of the unit for breakfast, fast, very friendly, very reasonable and great food.
Many seafood restaurants also, such as Crabby Bills (everyone's favorite), Conch's Republic south of the Building right on the Intercoastal.
Also, we highly reccomend the Pub, north of the unit, right on the intercoastal where you can watch boaters come and go from private dock, watch the wildlife while enjoying a great meal.
A Publix Grocery Store is located about 2 miles south of the unit. They have everything!
There are many sightseeing opps. including Busch Gardens for a day trip. One of our favorite spots is St. Johns Pass, south of the Unit, lots of small unique shops, restaurants, boat/fishing tours. If you catch fish while on a tour, all operators will clean the fish for you.
There are many little beach shops all along Gulf Boulevard, tho they are priced a bit higher then other stores. When we need to shop for Beach Clothing or souvenirs we take the little drawbridge over the Intercoastal and head east. About 15 minutes or so there is a large shopping center on your left. I believe Publix is their anchor store along with Target and so on. At the end of this mall is a great shop for T-Shirts, clothing, gifts etc. It is where the locals shop. Much more reasonable pricing and great quality. I still have sweatshirts that we bought 4 years ago and were a little un-prepared for the cooler weather for walking on the beach in early a.m.
Parking is available in space 507 with additional free parking across the street from the building near the fishing pier and boat dock. A parking pass is available from the on-site rental office.
