Job Description:
This position maintains safe and secure apartment complex against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
Job Responsibilities:
•Patrol property periodically, checking all buildings, grounds, vehicles and parking lots. Watch for and report irregularities, fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
•Examine doors, windows, fences and gates for unauthorized entry and make sure they are secure. inspect equipment and machinery for tampering.
•Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, or carrying forbidden articles.
•Observe and guard against theft .
•Notify police and/or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized entry
•Complete daily security report summarizing all occurrences. Record data and prepare incident reports in case of incidents, property damage, unusual occurrences and/or malfunctioning equipment or machinery.
•Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
Competencies/Skills:
Valid Driver’s License. Effective communication skills required. Ability to interact with residents and employees. Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear. Frequently required to stoop, crouch and climb. Ability to carry up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate Noise level.

Willing to undergo and pass extensive Background, Drug and Credit check
Minimum of 2 years of High level Security exp.
Must have reliable transportation
Must own/or know how to operate a GPS unit
Must own a .38 or 9mm firearm (proof of qualification required)

•Observe and search if necessary departing Auction personnel to guard against theft of company property. Periodically check transported vehicles as situation warrants.
•Notify police and/or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons. Permit authorized person’s to enter property.
•Complete daily security report summarizing all occurrences. Record data and prepare incident reports in case of employee relations’ incidents, property damage, unusual occurrences and/or malfunctioning equipment or machinery.
•Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the Auction entrance or on premises to maintain orderly traffic flow.
•Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., scan and receive cars, ensure vehicles exiting are authorized.
•May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
Qualifications:
Experience:
6 months to 3 years work experience in the security field.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Competencies/Skills:

Interior and exterior security posts/ patrols; Door lock- ups and unlocks when required or at the request from other departments; Provides security escorts throughout Bayfront property; Documentation of incidents; After hours visitation checks; Drive Bayfront vehicles as required; and Other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or Safety and Security Manager.
Requirements Must have High School diploma or GED and Security training. College or technical training in Security is preferred. Must have current Florida drivers license. Current Florida Class D Security License is preferred. 1 yr experience is required. 2-5 yrs experience in Law or Security related field is preferred. Must have Computer skills , effective Communication skills and excellent Customer Service skills. Must have good driving record.
