It's taken a little hard work (well, more than a little), occassionally an extra set of hands, and about two weeks, but she's decked, gel-coated, hardwared, and painted!!! Thanks to everyone who sent their e-mails...they were a real inspiration and motivator!

Sadly though, now I've gotta face reality...SHE'S UP FOR SALE... :?(

My object is to keep this nice new boat in the ballpark of someone who may not have tons of money to spend. Therefore, this is as complete as it will get. I have all new necessary fuel lines/vent hoses, but will not be adding power to this boat. I have a stainless steering wheel, but no steering cables. Boat has bow lights, but not wired. And trailer needs a little TLC.


I'm not leaving it in this stage because of laziness, but rather to allow the future owner to finish cutomizing her any way they choose (motor, gauges, GPS, etc.)...and to keep the cost of buying her as low as possible.

I am asking $1950 O.B.O....I also have matching stainless Bimini (not pictured) I'll put on for $2400 O.B.O.

The boat capsized just off the beach in bad weather and sat in heavy surf overnight before I could get it floated and back on the trailer. The result was damage to everything above the rails.

The hull is in good condition with no cracks or holes. It has a custome paint job (about 2 years old) and is very solid. The deck is all fiberglass and has no soft spots. The rails have minor damage that can be fixed rather easy (mostly scratches). There are a couple of spots were the sand rubbed the paint off but did not hurt the fiberglass. Missing is the windshield, bow rails, and a couple of hatch covers. The motor is toast.

This is a very solid boat. It has a live well, fish box, tons of storage, rod holders and an 80 gallon fuel tank. It is a bow rider with a walk-thru windshield but also works great for fishing. It has lots of deck space. I have been out about 25 miles with no trouble. It has a 2004 galvanized dual axle trailer.

There are no leaks or hull flaws, as the boat was hauled out several years ago at Salt Creek, where the entire hull was sounded out and any thin areas were fully reglassed before a high quality bottom paint was applied.

The steering column as it was installed at Pearson was directly in the way of below-deck access, so it was relocated aft. With a cushion, you can now use your lazarette as a comfortable seating area to watch the wheel. Brand new steering and throttle cables were installed at the same time.

The boat comes with a full complement of sails, including main and jib. From what I remember I may have two of each. There's a recent mainsail cover, and the original dodger and related pieces are included, though the dodger needs to be resewn.

The original 30hp Atomic 4 was rebuilt at Godwin-Singer in St. Pete and runs perfectly. The mast was taken down within the past couple of years, rewired and outfitted with new lights, and then reinstalled and tuned.

A new head was recently installed on top of the original waste incinerator system. A portable A/C unit will be included with the sailboat for dockside comfort.

This is a great craft for day sailing, trips, or as a liveaboard. Keep in mind that it is a 32 year old boat, and it reflects the design sensibilities of that era. The gel coat is a very boring pale blue color which was probably all the hype in 1976 but definitely needs to go now. The teak needs to be dressed. The access door is a three piece affair that needs to be replaced, though a skilled hobbyist should be able to reuse it. The interior is the dark walnut veneer typical of the time, and the privacy curtains should be replaced.

I am asking $26,000 for it as-is, though I will entertain serious offers. From what I hear about Pearson yachts, this is a very much in demand hull and well worth the money. I would like to sell this boat as soon as possible so I can devote the funds to completing my new house. As much as I would like to get pictures for all the people who are sure to ask for them, you would not see much other than a boat sitting between two other boats in a wet slip, and I would rather take the time to meet a prospective buyer instead of gamble on a couple of photos and my less then stellar skill at taking those photos.
