In need of a talented Controller for a leading international software organization headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. We are a software house specializing in conversion software for warehouses (WMS). As a leading provider of Supply Chain Management software solutions dedicated to creating a more efficient supply chain logistics, we aid in helping companies transition from paper-based operations into a more streamlined paper-less operation. The successful candidate for the position must possess both a strong mix of Software industry as well as Public Accounting experience.
Position Requirements:
BS/BA in Accounting.
15+ years of related experience required
Merger and Acquisition integration experience.
Experience with software revenue.
Establishes and maintains effective communicative relationships with staff and external auditors.
Systems Implementation experience.
Demonstrated experience in developing a high-performance accounting team.
Articulate effective communicator, both verbal and written.
Very strong work ethic with assertive can-do attitude.
Strong technical accounting experience/skills.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage the review and oversight processes for accounts payable and payroll expenses.
Provide leadership and direction that ensures continual development of timely business plans, relevant financial management information/analysis, financial controls, and accurate accounting systems.
Serve as a key member participant of the Accounting Organization as well as Senior Management responsible for the financial performance of the Company.
Manage the monthly closing and internal reporting, including international subsidiaries.
Demonstrate ownership of applying GAAP revenue recognition accounting standards to companys revenue agreements and implementation of corresponding accounting practices.
Accurately analyze monthly financial performance and provide in-depth insightful review.
Manage and maintain day to day communicative relationships with external auditors, while ensuring efficient quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Maintain effective accounting systems and ensure that the proper internals systems and reporting mechanisms are in place.
Manage accounting-related system implementations, conversion, and integration projects.
Interface on a regular basis with Companys Management Team and other finance, tax, and accounting groups.
Collectively collaborate with IT to further develop and automate the preparation and analysis of financial information and reporting.
Drive/implement/maintain required internal control processes for all global financial activities that impact financial statements, most notably revenue recognition.
Update and assist the Finance group with the budgeting/planning/forecasting process.
Provide accounting controls in accordance with GAAP.
Manage all aspects of general accounting, tax, external reporting, revenue recognition, credit and collections, and cash management.
Review and update accounting policies while monitoring compliance with GAAP, accounting/financial reporting policies, etc.
Promote and review processes and procedures that optimize ensured efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting group.
Efficiently assist and support senior management with high quality services for payroll, stock administration, accounts payable, and travel/expense reimbursement.
