looking for an old friend from 30 some years ago.
1977, she was approximately 16 years old and lived in the
St Petersburg (FL) area.
By now, she is in her late 40's and who knows where she is.
her first name is
Sarah (I believe with an H at the end but I could be wrong there)
her last name (back then, prior to any marriages/name change) was
Murphy. again not absolutely sure about the spelling.
Pretty common name you might say but how many
"Sarah Murphy" were in France for the summer of 1977?
I also believe her parents (at least one of them) were teachers or something along that line in the St Pete area in the late 70's
my request to you if I may, assuming you have a friend called
Sarah, would you ask her the following questions:
-was she
in France in 1977, in an area known as "
les vosges"?
-does the names
"Auberge du Haycot" "Celine""Nathalie" mean something to her?
if her answer is yes, chances are she is the one I am looking for.
back in those days, I was in the French army and just a couple of years older than her.
we corresponded for a short while and ... 30 years have passed since.
after meeting her, I spent another 10 years there and ended up moving to the US in the late 80's.
after 20 years on the east coast, I am about to make another of those crazy move again.
before I do so, if at all possible, I'd like to catch up with her.
any help would greatly be appreciated.
thanks and happy 4th.
