Analyst – Full Time
This position will analyze and utilize health care data to identify potential quality of care improvement opportunities by conducting descriptive and statistical analysis of patterns
of care, drug utilization and outcomes. The incumbent will ensure the accuracy of data, including the documentation and validation of computer programs, as well as and
prepare reports for dissemination and presentations. This individual will be involved in other analytical projects that relate to process and outcomes improvement, business
opportunities, and financial reconciliation. The successful candidate will assists in designing statistical analysis plans and assess the status of the evaluation criteria of
assigned project(s).
• Baccalaureate degree with strong emphasis in mathematics or statistics.
• Three to five years of work experience in manipulating databases and in developing and interpreting data analyses.
• Sound knowledge in SAS computer programming, SQL language and queries, conducting and interpreting primary analyses, conducting secondary and exploratory analyses, determining sample sizes, manipulating complex
databases and tracking.
• Familiarity with NCQA HEDIS and National Quality Forum-endorsed measures (e.g., CMS Core Measures) and knowledge of the health care industry and Medicare claims data.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) expected.
• Able to graphically depict the results of the analysis.
• Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills.
