Environmental Sciences Manager/Director (Tampa)
GPI is seeking an Environmental Sciences Manager/Director for our Tampa, Florida office. The successful candidate will oversee the development and growth of our environmental sciences group in the west central Florida area. Responsibilities include: business development; QA/QC; proposal development; contract negotiations; staff supervision and mentoring; and successful technical execution of environmental sciences, permitting, and ecological projects. Examples of typical projects include: water use/consumptive use permitting and permit compliance monitoring, wetland evaluations, transportation related PD&E reports, environmental impact assessments, ecological studies and monitoring, restoration and mitigation planning, wetlands mapping/permitting, listed species permitting, GIS and database development, and statistical analysis.
The Environmental Sciences Manager/Director must hold an advanced degree (i.e., M.S. or Ph.D.) and have a minimum of twenty years experience with at least ten years at the management level. The applicant must have proven experience in business development with local governments and a record of successful project management. Experience in supervision of environmental sciences staff and establishing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, staff utilization, profitability and design quality is essential. Experience with relevant computer software is necessary.
